About our Mission
People often think of Charity As an Action. But we think of Charity as a State Of The Heart.
In the aftermath of the senseless tragedy at the Capital Gazette on June 28th, Annapolitan and graphic artist Melanie Michael wanted to create something for the community that would be distinctly Annapolis. Something that would speak of hope and the spirit of the city, all while paying respectful tribute the friends and neighbors we lost on that dreadful day.
Melanie likes to think that we can remember the lovely people that were taken from us in a positive light and Annapolis Always so she designed Annapolis Always with that idea. When someone wears an Annapolis Always shirt she wants them to think of the good and happy times that life gives us and to appreciate the gifts that we are blessed with here in Annapolis and bring those gifts wherever they may travel.
Melanie created the simple yet elegant design to adorn t-shirts and other apparel with all proceeds being donated to charity. The initial response was amazing. Within 2 hours Melanie sold out of the first run of 75 t-shirts with orders for dozens more. She was immediately booked all summer to provide her shirts at The Maritime Museum “Tides and Tunes” Thursday night concerts in Eastport.
